5I LOVE THIS WATCH!!  Oct 23, 2009
I just got this yesterday and I LOVE IT! I was kind of surprised though that I had to pay for shipping.

One thing that is really great about this watch is that it gives me the time no matter when I look at it. It could be night or even in the daytime and it still gives me the time.

One other thing that is really convenient is that it has a strap with buckle type clasp that keeps the watch on my wrist.... even when I am doing things like playing racquetball or wrestling with my brother.

There is one bad thing about this watch though.... IT COSTS $93,000. Other than that though it's a good watch!

3Some good, some bad  Sep 29, 2009
I comparing this watch to a more sporty watch, the slightly cheaper Zenith Men's Defy Xtreme Tourbillon Titanium Chronograph Watch #96.0529.4035/51.M, which goes for only $91,670.00, or about $150 less than this watch.

Compared to the Zenith, this watch is a LOT easier to read. It has hands that aren't the same color as the background color of the watch face, for one thing. The Zenith had black hands on a black face, so they are virtually invisible. Hello! Earth to Zenith!

The L & S (for short)has white hands on a black face. Much better! However, when the hands are over the subdials, which are also white, they seem to disappear. That means that around 3:40 (PM or AM, it doesn't matter), your watch hands seem to disappear. Likewise at 7:20 or so.

To me the the L & S looks classier than the Zenith. Unlike the Zenith, it cannot be confused for a Timex Ironman or some other chunky black watch. The L & S actually looks like a Timex I saw somewhere. Those little chronograph dials look cool (but who actually uses a chronograph? In fact, who even knows what a chronograph IS? But it looks cool.)

So! Easier to read and classier than the Zenith, and cheaper too! So far we have a winner.

BUT! When you look at the list of features, you notice it is kind of short. Alarm? No. Compass? No. Air pressure? Tides? Moon phase? None of that. You begin to wonder why you even bother.

And bother you will, because ladies and gentlemen, you have to WIND this watch. That's right. With the little knob on the side. You have to turn it like a jack-in-the-box handle. EVERY DAY. Or else what happens? It stops! This is stone-age technology here, people. They might as well have a pull string like on Malibu Barbie.

This watch does have a kind of unique feature, its "raison d'etre" as it were. It tells two DIFFERENT times, at the same time! Could you imagine a more useless feature? I just cannot imagine who would find that feature useful. When I look at a watch, I want to know is the RIGHT TIME, not what is the WRONG time! I have a busted clock radio for that! I want to know if it is time to watch Family Guy! I want a watch to tell me, Is It Peanut Butter Jelly Time? PEANUT BUTTER JELLY! PEANUT BUTTER JELLY! Or is it not? If it can't do that, then screw it.

So all in all, I am giving this watch three stars. If it didn't have that lame here-is-the-wrong-time-but-also-here-is-the-wrong-time feature, I might give it another star.

Lastly, this watch does NOT come with free shipping! That just takes the cake. Sorry, L & S! You just lost a repeat customer!
